Lorna Hollifield was born in Asheville, North Carolina, but now enjoys the Lowcountry life outside of Charleston, South Carolina with her husband, Kimsey, daughter, Allyn, and pooch, Margaret.

She’s been an author from the time she could speak, always spinning yarns for anyone who would listen.  She began her professional writing journey as a tourism and travel blogger, before finally deciding to pursue her dream of publishing fiction.  Tobacco Sun was published in 2017 by Pen Name Publishing, followed by The Ocean at Night in 2020 by The Yellow Bird Press.

Lorna also enjoys writing for various magazines and websites, and loves speaking about her craft at literary conferences and community events (especially charitable ones).

When Lorna isn’t writing fiction, she enjoys spending her time volunteering, promoting the arts, or bumming on the beach!

  1. Hi! I’m Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a fitness/diet app and site. I saw your blog yesterday and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in receiving 1 for free to review when it is out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) slimkicker (com) with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

In case you don’t know, our site SlimKicker basically turns your fitness/diet goals into a level up game. The tracker will work in conjunction the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

    – Sue
